A collection of two of Martin Luther King Jr.'s works—the open letter "Letter from Birmingham Jail" and the sermon "The Three Dimensions of a Complete Life." I really enjoyed the former, but the latter was good, though not great.

"Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection."

"Human progress never rolls in on wheels of inevitability."

"the question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind of extremists we will be. Will we be extremists for hate or for love?"

"the goal of America is freedom. Abused and scorned though we may be, our destiny is tied up with America's destiny."

MLK JR is so well spoken.
Eloquent, to the point, confronting but without hate. Loved reading through this.

"Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection."
Powerful and determined.

Powerful, eloquent words from MLK. Unfortunately, this is still as relevant today as it was over a half century ago.

Text of draft and audio recording of MLK reading the letter available here: https://kinginstitute.stanford.edu/king-papers/documents/letter-birmingham-jail
