This cannot be as bad as i think. There are huge numbers of followers and a TV series but it simply does not work for me . I don't know whether it is the foreign names or the absolutely mangled speech of one of the MCs but it is not for me

I was disappointed in this book. I'd wanted to read it for so long and still want to see the tv episode of it. It fell short of all of his other books. The one thing I did like was that it showed how Montalbano's girl friend, Lydia wasn't dealing with the death of the child her and Montalbano had found years ago and become attached to.

Satisfying, quick read by the ever reliable Camilleri.
