I was lucky enough to be part of the beta crew for Daws, for London Bound. I have absolutely loved every book in the London Lovers series. I thought they were all brilliant, but I wasn’t prepared for how perfectly addicting London Bound would be. I am certain it is the best book Daws has written yet.

Lez’s story is not only addicting, it is packed with a brilliant blend of romance, steamy action and tearful moments. I loved reading as she opened up, grew and learned to love again. Daws wrote her and Theo’s story so well that I truly felt I was a part of their journey. I cried when Lez felt lost, when we learned about Theo’s past and laughed as the two of fell into those new relationship mishaps.

I especially loved getting to know more about Lez’s journey. We found out about her beginnings in London, how she met Frank and saw the famous Brody wedding from a best friend’s point of view. The shenanigans are on fire, when Frank and Lez are involved, and I couldn’t stop laughing when the cleanse began.

The characters in this book were a blend of the characters we have come to love, in the London Lovers series, getting to know more about a few we loved and wanted more of and a couple new characters. The blend of personalities creates a truly heartfelt, chaotic, fun and addicting story.

I loved every page of this book, all the way to the epically brilliant finish to this unique love story. I highly recommend reading all of the London Lovers series, especially London Bound!

Amy Daws is fantastic. Her characters are so realistic and relatable. I loved Leslie's character in A Broken Us. I was so excited for her to have a book of her own. My time to read is limited with two little boys, but I always know Amy's books with be worth it! This one did not disappoint.

I wanted to really like London Bound. I loved the first book in this series (which actually came out second), didn't care for the second book and was hoping this third book would be just as good as the first. Unfortunately I just don't care for the character in London. I...I know they are supposed to be fun and sassy and whatever, but to me they were just annoying. I see where other people might find Frank funny, I see where others could enjoy it, but it was just not for me.

Leslie has some secrets she hasn't shared with anyone. Not even her bff Finley who she is supposed to share everything with, cracks and all. She just can't talk about it. She ran away to London a few years ago and is trying to just keep the past in the past. She is not going to have a relationship with a guy again because of whatever happened and that is that.

Theo is smitten with Leslie as soon as he sees her. He has his own secrets, his own dark past, but Leslie sparkles. She brings him back into the light and once he gets a glimpse of that he never wants to loose her. He knows she is the one for him, he just has to get her to stop running from them so they can live happily ever after.

Now the first part of this book annoyed me greatly. I did not like the flashbacks interspersed in Finley and Brody's wedding chapters. Some of them, like how Leslie met Frank, I didn't care for at all. I could have skipped that and been happy. It just wasn't done very well for me so it wasn't good. Then Leslie obviously has something bothering her, she is always putting herself down and not trusting that Theo could actually like her, which should have made me feel for her. At least a little. I mean obviously she has been through something right? Only I did not like her at all. The way she was written was so annoying to me I couldn't stand her. She didn't feel real to me I guess. Like I didn't believe she really was struggling with something if that makes sense. I just...I kept reading only to find out what happened and when I got to that part I thought this is it? Really? I know it wouldn't have been easy and all that, but it just was a bit of a let down.

I don't know. I liked Theo well enough, but it was really the story of Leslie so it didn't work for me. I don't think these books are for me. I don't like the "sassy" London characters. I don't find them humorous, they just annoy me. Greatly. I see where others would like it, but it is not for me.

Theo was a super intense and pushy but I kind of dug it.
I loved Leslie's crazy style and oddness. I connected her in that way for sure.

Thank you to the author, Amy Daws, for gifting me with an ARC copy of London Bound in exchange for an honest review!

Hmmm... where to start with this one... I did like it. It was a nice, well written romance with plenty of hilarious lines. This is a good place to start... what did I like?

I really liked seeing Finley and Brody again and watching their story continue in a sense. Going along with that, I really liked that the author decided to write a book from Leslie's perspective. I've been curious about her ever since she appeared in the first book and it was interesting to read about her past and how she thinks.

One thing the author did very well is creating a distinction between the voices. All the characters sound different and have different mannerisms and the author never forgot that.

Going along with that, I loved reading about both Theo and Leslie's pasts and how it's impacting them in present day. Finding out what each person was holding back solved so many little things that were sprinkled throughout the book and I actually went back and reread it just knowing what it is!

One thing I'm not sure I can get on board with is the dynamic of Leslie and Theo's relationship. Without giving too much away, Theo kind of pushes Leslie into a relationship and judging by Leslie's past, I didn't think she would allow that. Theo just seemed so pushy to me and I never warmed up to him. Their relationship just rubbed me the wrong way although it straightened out a bit in the end... I don't know I just can't fully enjoy books where the relationships feel off.

The Final Verdict:
A good love story although I'm not quite sure about the two MC's relationship dynamic. I loved seeing Finley and Brody again as well as seeing their distinct personalities emerge through the author's writing.

I have to say, I usually like Amy Daws’ books. In fact, most of them are 4⭐️’s or higher. This one didn’t click with me. Our “hero” chases a girl around London & “intensely” looks at her & speaks with her all while she’s telling him to back the fuck off. She tells him time & again that she’s not interested—he has no idea she really wants him.

First, my god, if a guy won’t leave you alone like the “hero” you have grounds for a restraining order.

Second, the heroine is no better. After repeatedly telling this guy no, she gets nauseous seeing him kiss another girl. She runs off her go-go dancer’s perch & becomes violently ill.

I don’t get the love for this book at all.

I did love Hayden, though.

My favorite things about this book:

1. The heroine, Leslie. She is absolutely hilarious. She's snarky and witty but she is also sweet and kind.

2. Frank - Leslie's friend. I really hope he gets his own story because I loved him. Every girl should have a friend like Frank.

3. Theo. Wow. What a wonderful hero. He loves so completely and has such a good heart. I adored him. I love a hero who is willing to work for what he wants, who will really fight to get the woman he loves and Theo is all of that and more.

4. The drama and angst. Normally, I hate angst and secrets but this was done so well. This wasn't over-the-top angsty, both Leslie and Theo had secrets and I couldn't wait to find out what Theo was holding back.

5. Frank's 7 day cleanse for Leslie. There were so many laugh-out-loud moments.

6. The witty banter between Frank and Leslie. Hilarious.

I LOVED this book. This is the first book I have read by this author and I can't wait to read more. I loved this story, fell in love with the characters and the writing. There were a lot of really funny moments but there was also some serious issues and I loved the way this author balanced both. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. I really loved this one and highly recommend it!

Yay! New narrator! I am usually not so in your face about a narrator but I started on book 4 and 5 and the narrators blew me away they were sooo great. I loved this narrator.

Also loved this book, not once did I roll my eyes. Even when Leslie was talking with Fin. I just can’t connect with Fin, it’s just me I have come to terms Fin and I can no longer be friend’s lmao. It’s ok she has Leslie so don’t feel bad for Finny.

So Leslie and Theo, I floved there love story, it’s a great addition to the series. I wanted to read this one esp after reading Hayden’s book. Yes they are totally all standalones, so even though I knew what was going to happen and why it was still neat to go back and listen to it unfold from her point of view.

I loved that Theo was all in throughout this whole book and he was the one that brought Leslie out. He would be there even when she didn’t want him to. Loved that!

I want a Frank HEA who’s with me!!!  He needs some love too poor guy. He has to watch all his friends fall in love.

I thought Leslie was hilarious. She is like a train wreck in her own mind when in reality she is just pretty normal. I was glad to see her get her HEA and I liked Theo for her. He was a little to serious but I understand why. If anyone should have baggage it's him with all this family drama. I think I was most excited about the introduction of Hayden since I listened to the Harris Brother's series first and there was a lot of reference to his past but I had no clue how bad off he was until this book. I'm going to love seeing him heal over the next couple books. This book had a lot of sadness but it also had a very happy ending.

Narration was the same as the last 2, nothing great and nothing bad.
