A perfectly lovely WLW comic with that strong flavor of competitive anime. We get backstory and origins all packed in one volume.
This book was fun and I had a lot of fun reading it. It's not enough I find something that has me smiling and amused through the majority of the book but this one did and I'm glad. I had a bit of a hard time understanding Leo, but she grew on me. I loved watching the dates the two went on and the mistakes that were made.
This book isn’t overly serious, it’s often the opposite. It’s fun and funny, a light-hearted read with a nice ending. The characters are amusing, and I was surprised by the way the two met. Leo was a bit caustic towards the others but honestly, it didn’t really put me off her. Vega was an interesting character, and I don’t know if I like her very much. I can’t really put my finger on why she got on my nerves a bit, but she did.
I don’t have much else to say about this, but it was a quick, enjoyable read and I would recommend it for anyone who just wants to spend a short while reading.

The idea of little Leo helping Vega learn to ride a bike was adorable. It also gave a good reason behind Vega coming back to help turn Leo into a good lesbian.I don’t have much else to say about this, but it was a quick, enjoyable read and I would recommend it for anyone who just wants to spend a short while reading.

This was a fluffy light read with the kind of deadpan humor that just resonated with me on a spiritual level. However, the experience wasn’t unlike being repeatedly slapped in the face with my own gayness.
Seriously though, should I be this attracted to a fictional character? After the first two chapters, I lowkey wanted Vega to just drop Leo and be with me instead. The cutout catsuit honestly felt like a personal attack…
Though I knew for a fact they would end up together, I only started rooting for them well after Leo’s redemption arc, and even then, not without apprehension. Their relationship seemed rather rushed, especially toward the end. I also wasn't convinced by the explanation for Vega’s entire arc since it didn't feel on par with the first chapter. To be honest, I had hoped Vega would be revealed to be a part of some cupid-like organization that specialized in gay, lol, and Leo was supposed to be just one of the targets/missions but Vega fell in love with her instead and when she reappeared into Leo’s life, that was her pulling a double-cross, betraying the whole organization to be with lee. Considering the sheer speed of their relationship, I’m glad there was a bonus story since it helped in fleshing out their characters a bit more, both as individuals and as a couple.
I guess with the synopsis and hints from the reviews, I expected an even more elaborated plotline with some dramatic twists and turns. Nevertheless, this was a cute fluffy sapphic read and it was worth every minute of gay panicking ♡
On an unrelated note, is it just me, or does the author's last name mean "queen bee" in Vietnamese?
