My crayola box never had that shade of purple & I once got the 64 pack with the sharpener, so either Harold has an even bigger set or he uses RoseArt

A children's story about creativity narrated through simple images. The board book edition is big and indestructible.

As I recall, this was one of my favorite books when I was very young, and I can remember begging my Mom to read it to me "just one more time." I think it just seemed to me like the grandest adventure to be able to do what Harold did, and very likely foreshadowed my lifelong interest in travel and seeing and experiencing new things. Later, it became a favorite of my own children.

I do wonder if the purple crayon marks all over my sister's bedroom when she was about five had anything to do with this book.

This was absolutely enchanting! The illustrations are gorgeous! They are making this into an animated film in 2023, and I can't wait to see what they do with it! I'm going to start buying this for my friends and family's young children!

I was sold completely on this book when the very deserving moose showed up. and nine different kinds of pie.

This is my favorite picture book of all time. I rediscovered it two years ago. Simply something about creating your own world and finding home because you draw yourself back in bed is the best.
