I usually don’t write reviews but Crew was a red flag and Wren was dumb.

Je denkt hetzelfde als Wren? Therapy.

Uw gedrag is zoals Wren? Therapy.

Ge denkt dat Crew een “book boyfriend” is? THERAPY.

Just no.
Het leest vlot en de spicy scenes zijn goed, maar die man zijn gedrag is echt zorgwekkend???

And y’all love him????

Stuur gerust privé voor mn psycholoog zn nummer cause I can’t take this.

I can understand why people aren’t loving these book with the constant remarks regarding wrens virginity and portraying in that school setting she’s the odd one out for still being a virgin. I also found a few other things weird with the book, firstly the teacher student relationships and how it just seemed to be brushed over like it’s not a huge deal. Secondly how strange the character of wrens dad is, it’s like he was in love with her in more than a daughter sense? He wanted to own her and be pure for him and him to own her? That’s how his character was portrayed for me.
Thirdly… the ring pop… that’s not sanitary

I did however enjoy it as a read! I read it in about 8 hours total and it was a page turner that I didn’t want to put down. I throughly enjoyed how wren found her own strength to be her own person. I totally visualised her as a Rory Gilmore type gal when she’s called Mary and I then pictured crew as Logan, the rich blonde boy who can have anything and anyone he likes.. or thinks he can. I don’t like the idea so much of men wanting to own a person but crews character was more tolerable than that of the father he truly fell in love with her personality, her beauty and just wanted to protect her from men like her father.

“when we’re lucky enough to find someone that makes our world brighter, shouldn’t we grab hold of that person and never let them go”
