I read this book whilst on holiday by the pool. I loved the way it balanced humour with moments of heartbreak within a thought provoking theme. I would highly recommend this book.

Var till en början måttligt imponerad, men boken växte ju längre jag läste och visade sig vara riktigt bra. Tur att vi har kommit längre än i boken som samhälle även om vi fortfarande har en bit kvar...
Es ist mir ein Rätsel, weshalb sich dieses Buch seit Ewigkeiten auf den Bestsellerlisten befindet und wie es überhaupt dorthin gekommen ist. Die Idee finde ich an sich interessant, aber die Umsetzung … Alles ist so masslos übertrieben, dass der Realitätsbezug einfach komplett verloren geht. Der Höhepunkt: Die Kapitel, welche aus der Sicht des Hundes erzählt werden, gespickt mit extra vielen Fremdwörtern

Very torn about this book. I did really like Elizabeth, the stories of all the women, and I loved the research/chemistry content. But I did think it read a bit like YA, a bit too many coincidences and connections between characters that made it feel predictable. Overall it was a quick and easy read. Tbh I think men (in science particularly) would probably benefit from reading it.
