A very light story about the olden days and there romance. I could not put the book down and wanted to know what would happen now in the life of Charlotte. Great read for the weekends.

This is a follow up to “Löwensköldska ringen”, but mostly in name, because this is not a ghost story but a clash between classes and gender. It’s slowly told to get different POV:s and at the same time you get to know the characters, and their dreams and wishes. And you want to get to know these men and women and know why they makes the choices they do. They are alive.

it should not be allowed to write books that are this romantic, I just cant take it. might be my favorite Lagerlöf I've read so far. the titular character is so much fun, so alive and so refreshing in the environment of 1800s Sweden, I'm not usually that guy but I would die to see this be made into a proper tv-show adaption. i love them!!!
