For awhile, I was very angry with Janine's parents & their disapproval of many of her decisions. Such hateful people, & I would not want to be around them. I would not have let my child be exposed to that anger.
All in all, though, there was love & hope & science. A happy ending, but not until we read lots & lots of twists.

I really enjoy Diane Chamberlain's books. They are engrossing, interesting, and quick reads. That being said, this was not my favorite of her books that I've read thus far. Without giving too much away, there were parts of this book that were just beyond unrealistic. The entire movie star/escaped convict daughter was just ridiculous not to mention everything having to do with one of the main characters. Putting all that aside, the book was enjoyable, just not my favorite as it strayed slightly too much into the soap-opera domain for my liking.

Interesting concept. Reminded me a lot of Jodi Picoult in the writing style which I enjoyed. Not sure all the characters were as well shaped as they could have been - Lucas in particular.
