I read half of it. I didn't care for it and thought it was a little gross.

I liked it. I was confused about what the main plot was for like the first second/third part of the book but I got it eventually. I don’t know what I was expecting either. I was fine with the ending but I guess I thought it’d be more exciting. There wasn’t too much action going on. It was interesting though, and enjoyable. I got some names mixed up sometimes but it was good. It was wild how they extorted gay men, more specifically the future president of the U.S. I don’t know what else to write. It was a good book, but not anything extravagant.

The ending sure made me mad!

Grisham is a good storyteller.   This was no exception.  I enjoyed the story but really wasn’t sure to root for, they were all (except for Aaron) terrible people.   And any time I read or see a political story, where the President, or Presidential options seem better than what we have, I get a little sad.

Too predictable. I was waiting for the twist that would fix that, but it never came. Not one of Grisham's best.
