AHH. I love this series so much. Diana and Damon are my favorite King and Queen couple yet.
I will not lie to y'all the romance happens quickly and I know that, that annoys a lot of people. It can annoy me to at times when after a day people are already in love but the way Heather Killough-Walden does the romance it doesn't seem like it's rushed. Plus if she's your queen there's not much else you can do but fall in love with her you know. Plus a woman who heals and who can kick ass. helllloooo. I may be just a little bit in love with her.
I was sad when this book ended.. I have loved the other books but I was never sad for the conclusion. Even with Evie and Roman (who up until these two were my favorite) I was okay with that book ending and moving on to the next but I almost don't want to move on because I will miss the Goblin royalty. Plus any character that can heal always fascinates me and I want to know more. I hope because the next now involves Diana's friend that she will still be a part of it.

I really enjoyed this book, but ... before the climax happened, I never really felt the LOVE between the two. So overall, fun story but not one I could sink my teeth into. Felt fairly shallow.

Plus, you can tell this is part of a series. A) this is BARELY a standalone and B) you better be ready for what seems like half the book dedicated to other characters.

Extra Book #69.

Book #4 of The Kings series. Loved this. Damon Chroi is awesome and Diana is the best. I love her spirit that she can see the pain behind the anger. Its great!

Winter Reading Challenge book.
Topic: Read a book with a fictitious creature in it.

The Goblin King is the 4th installment in the "Kings" series. I will be honest in that I really enjoyed this one, much more than the previous one. I really adored this narration, although, I recommend its one you want to completely focus on it. I did have so much fun with this one though. I really enjoyed the setup of the romance. There is a side plot featuring the vampire king and queen so keep that in mind when you read this one. We also see the trope of fated love. The heroine is a healer in most specifically animals, and she has a warm kind heart. I loved the way that these two come together when her life is in danger. It was much more engaging than I was expecting as well.

Overall I had a blast with this one here, I absolutely adored the way that this story developed and the world-building was penned so well and made me realize what made me fall in love with this series in the first place. Eager to continue on with this series here.

Once again, ok-ok couple but some intriguing future story hints. Even though it's insta-love in these books, and while I dont always mind that, Im still intrigued by upcoming Seelie and Unseelie king books.( I blame KMM for this unhealthy obsession that the Unseelie king should get a happy ending, because no one wrote an Unseelie king the way she did)

I'm rating this three stars in the sense of: it wasn't great, it wasn't awful. It was just ok. It's in the middle of a series so maybe the unanswered questions I have will be answered by then?
