Another great read by L.E. franks. Loved reading more about Nick and Davis. A fun and enjoyable read. Hopefully we will get another book about these two.

I was given a copy of this book free by the author in exchange for a honest review.

I liked Nick and Davis when I read [b:6 Days to Valentine|20612615|6 Days to Valentine|L.E. Franks|https://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/books/1390327100s/20612615.jpg|49936136]. I was excited to see this follow up to that book.

I greatly enjoyed this story and the weird situations Nick and Davis kept finding themselves in, even if they kept them from having time alone. Nick has had some growing up to do and can't seem to get others to see it. The only thing that was hard for me to understand that even though Nick was so frustrated and was "saving" himself for Davis he still had doubts about how serious that could be when they were actually being intimate. I hope there are more stories to come about these characters.

As much as Nick drove me a little batty in [b:6 Days to Valentine|20612615|6 Days to Valentine|L.E. Franks|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1390327100s/20612615.jpg|49936136], I was excited to see how Nick and Davis ("Fatboy") finally got together. Unfortunately, this book takes place a month later and they are still not really together. It sounds like mostly circumstance keeps them apart, but they haven't quite solidified themselves as a couple. Davis doesn't want to come out, but I don't really know why. His family knows, which makes me think it isn't a hiding in the closet thing. I wonder if he is waiting for Nick to grow up and take the bull by the horns and try to figure out if they are together, but it seemed more like he wanted to hide and Nick didn't. I typically like longer books, but being that this book takes place over 6 days, it seemed much longer with the amount of angsty wishy-washy. There were parts that were funny (Nick is ridiculous at times and I did laugh), but then there were times when I was confused. Perhaps it is real life and would really happen, but I was annoyed that Nick (while working and trying to stop things from happening) gets caught in a bar fight between patrons, but HE is arrested and no one would talk to him, even though they knew he was the bar manager. That made me mad. But, that is just me.
If there is another book (and I really hope there is because I want to see them actually get together!), then I would absolutely read it. I like the characters overall (despite Nick's cocky, arrogant, clueless attitude) and want to see them have a happy time.

I highly recommend reading the first book before reading this one. It'll help you with the dynamic and referenced events. I really liked this. But you have to have a certain type of appreciation for "borderline mean but not really" main characters to like Nick. He has issues, and really you can't blame him given how everyone around him treats him. Nick's co-workers started to really annoy me. I really liked Davis aka "Fatboy", but he wasn't blameless in a lot of the misunderstandings or overly defensive reactions Nick had. I wish we'd gotten a little more focus on just THEM. But that's minor. I did like a couple of the SCs. Darrell was pretty memorable. I kinda wanna know what his deal with the singer was. I wanna know what happens with Rory. I really liked the humor in this, there was a lot of fun hi-jinks. I will admit to having a hard time following Nick's head space at the beginning. He was a bit all of the place and it takes some focus to get going. I'm still confused on if Davis is in the closet still and why for that matter. .I really hope there is another holiday in the future....maybe Easter where Davis spills some truth? Pretty please?
