Loved the premise of this and think I picked it up at just the right time. Enough drive in the plot to keep me interested and felt different than a typical romance. But the ending? Why throw a break up in the last 5%? That was dumb.

Took me a little bit to get into this story since it’s two different marriage pacts and two different periods of life. I enjoyed Maggie’s character and what she learns about herself along the way.

This was a cute read. Nothing special.

UGH. WHAT JUST HAPPENED.

-1 star for Chapters 54 & 56 alone.

And to be clear: I think how the two relationships played out—and who Maggie ultimately chose—was the right call. But those two chapters were the most frenetic ending to what had otherwise been a really enjoyable read. It read as a messy and forced return to the fertility storyline, almost thrown in as an afterthought.

I read that there was a different ending in an earlier draft and now I’m so curious to know what it was!

I wanted to dnf this so bad.. finally

While I was intrigued by the premise, ultimately I think this book tried to tackle too many weighty topics/storylines, which caused the book to lose momentum and clarity for me.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the themes of finding yourself, second chances and perfect and imperfect timing.
I don’t always go for love triangles but this one was executed really well, in a way that made you fall in love with both characters and no one had to villainized. It was nice to see relationships where no one was horrible they just weren’t meant to be.
My small complaint is that I felt one of the love interests wasn’t developed as well as the other and that made it hard to always understand the MC’s feelings and actions.
This author will be an automatic read for me going forward!

I got big Emily Henry vibes and i loved it, i was so intrigued because i couldnt figure out who she would end up with. There is only one right answer in my eyes and it delivered. I will say however the ending just didnt feel like an ending and maybe is because im used to epilogues and this just didnt have an epilogue. Overall i did like it, i wouldve live to have a little more at the very end.
