It was a slow start, probably because I was coming off a book hangover from my last book. I initially had trouble connecting with the characters and was annoyed with the continuous back and forth between her and Garrett. I got more into it about halfway through and the last few chapters made it much more apparent the reasoning behind everything.

Maybe Once, Maybe Twice has so much promise the the premise was intriguing but at the end of the day, the only story I cared about was Summer. I absolutely did not like the main character Maggie and her choices, although the trauma explains some of it but still it was so hard to get into this. The time back and forths make me absolutely crazy, I like a linear story and so it just didnt work for me but will work plenty for others. I loved and then hated both male leads as well. I just wanted something different than this ended up being, but I can see why others loved it. Read it and decide for yourself, but please check the trigger warnings first.

DNF at 43%. I just couldn't keep reading about this boring person who pretends she's deep. Miscommunication (or maybe just lack of communication) is a core component of this book so if you hate that trope, keep moving for your own sanity.

I liked a lot of parts of this but overall it felt discordant. It made more sense when I found out the author is a screenwriter.

Probably 3.5.

I feel like this book was rushed on the ending. Multiple timelines.

This book had me all over the board. Started off strong and held my attention. In the middle I found myself struggling to continue and almost DNF it. I thought the two storylines were confusing and lacked cohesiveness. The ending, of course, brought me back. I loved the last 50 pages. What a rollercoaster ride.

I loved this book! It was an easy going read for me and I enjoyed the play with time and the musical portion of the book, it's a nice love story where you cheer and get invested in the couple!

Solid romance read. I totally rooted for one of the guys throughout the whole book. It could be a little wordy/artsy with some of the descriptions, but overall good. I’m giving 4 stars because the ending was like whiplash, way too fast. Only a couple spicy parts, if you are not k to that! 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really wanted to like this book. It's excellently written and the song lyrics from the FMC are Taylor Swift folklore level amazing. But I really actively dislike all 3 of the main characters. And the ending was wildly unrealistic.
