OMG this was all I could put in the review without restating the summary or giving the story away. It was awesome!
This story was all action from start to finish. Cain and Charlie are trying to stay alive. The story was so good and so twisty and so different, I couldn't put it down!

The story, Close Encounter, is a spinoff from Brother's Keepers. But guess what it is a total standalone that will suck you into to the suspense and drama surrounding Cane O'Reilly and Charlie, the woman he is protecting.
Charlie has been the obsession of Anson Deveraux since she escaped captivity. He will do anything to get her and I mean ANYTHING!!!! HOLY MOLY hold on to your hat. This is a wild ride. I will never look at Las Vegas the same. Even better this was sort of a prequel. There is more Cane and Charlie to come. I wonder if I go clean the author's home it will help get it released faster.

This story is set during an area wide blackout in Las Vegas. It is gripping, suspenseful and tender. Cane is tasked with protecting Charlie and was not supposed to fall for her, but life has other plans. Eddie and Skye, working their usual cons, are just in the wrong place at the wrong time but they manage to save the day. However, did the bad guy die or did he live to return another day!

Close Encounter, Part 1 was a suspense filled amazing read by Stephanie St. Klaire. Cane O’Reily is a hot sexy part of Brothers Keeper Security and is tasked with keeping Charlie safe from a serial Killer. Loved this his story and can’t wait to read part 2

The story was better than I was expecting (any time a book has only 4 and 5-star reviews I assume they're all from the author's friends and family 😂). The book needs a little more polishing though. A couple of examples that took me right out the story: "Ready to push passed him" and "laundry shoot". Still worth a read though if you can get it from Scribd or somewhere cheap.

SSK has done it again with a story I couldn't put down. The perfect combination of steamy, suspenseful, and humorous. I always loves seeing a few familiar faces make an appearance. Cane and Charlie have undeniable chemistry. Skye and Eddie were so hilarious, I hope we see them again soon. The check in scene! That's all I'll say about that! LOL
Add to your TBR list, you won't be disappointed!

Close Encounter by Stephanie St. Klaire: Stephanie has a great way of writing that just pulls up into the story. This is a great suspenseful read that had my undivided attention until the very end. Seriously, nothing else in life got done. I loved the intrigue. I loved the connection the Cane and Charlie have and I really loved Eddie and Skye. Two cons trying to do the right thing but still trying to pull cons along the way. The fact that I didn't know if they were going to make it out alive until the very end really kept me on my toes. Great read!

Close Encounter by SSK is action packed, full of suspense, humor, and sexy times during a full on Blackout in Las Vegas. This is everything you want and expect from Stephanie. Cane is cousin of the Brother's Keepers and he is in charge of protecting Charlie from a serial killer determined to get the one who got away from him. Throw in con-artists Skye and Eddie with a strong penchant for PDA who wind up wrapped up in this mess by helping Charlie out, and you've got a story you won't be able to put down. It ends in a cliffhanger, and I cannot wait for the continuation of this story in Stephanie's new spin-off series.
