All hail Steph, the first queer person to get abducted by aliens in this series (though Ruby promises us more queer rep in the future, which I am so excited for!). The Outcast clan is such a fun addition (also, the island they all came from sounds like it was a miserable place socially speaking) and I loved Juth and Steph as a couple (I have been so excited for Juth's turn since he showed up in Raven's book, so I'm glad it met expectations).

Side note about the side characters, I also love that so many women in these books are so worried about earning their keep and meanwhile Devi spends 85% of her time just dissecting weird shit on the beach and everyone is like, that's her job and we don't question it and she never doubts what she's doing is important.

I really liked how this story was done. Steph and Juth as a great couple and I love that they both grow in this book! Also love, love, love the plus size representation and I absolutely adore how much Juth loves Steph. But also.... what kind of
