I think I was wanting more grounding in the actual crossing of the landscape involved in the pilgrimage. Instead, this book feels abstracted away from the physical journey into the “teachings” being delivered, most of which aren’t that novel or interesting

This is the only book by Coelho I have tried to read and I don't intend to finish it. It is far too Carlos Casteneda for me.
