Literally just smut. I appreciate the consent and all, although sometimes it goes a bit too far. I usually don't mind some smut, but this book is excessive and the plot is almost nonexistent (I didn't expect this much smut, especially with a cover like that).

*I just want to start that I do understand that sexualizing real life hockey players in a stalkerish and creepy way is wrong and I'm not down with that. I feel like I need to preface this before I talk about how hot I found the Nate in this book*
Listen...

This was not the best book of all time. The plot was fleeting, if there at all. Her partner got off WAY too easy if you asked me and he made me want to put it down so many times. It was SO LONG (they could've taken out the entire middle section really and I would've walked away with the same energy).

BUT

I knew what I was getting. I wasn't expecting a five star read with dynamic characters, a stellar plot, and to leave feeling like a different person. I expected sex.

AND BOY DID IT DELIVER

In another (far distant life), I would want to be like Anastasia (minus the crappy skating partner and severe emotional issues): a beautiful skater sleeping with a hot hockey player, while the rest of his team worships the ground I walk on.

The sex was good and frequent (which is more than I can say for the plot), but that's what I wanted. At this moment, I didn't need dynamic and interesting. I needed to read a book about two hot people having great sex and that's what I got.

Listen, Im not for or against this book per say. It had some really cute moments and places where I found pieces of writing that I loved. The ending felt a little rushed, however and
the pregnancy
kinda ruined the vibe for me. Nate is sweet tho!

I'm choosing to dnf at 58% of the way through simply because the writing has become unstomachable. It's utter torture I thought I was genuinely going crazy when things weren't making sense! the number of times I've reread lines trying to make sense of it all was no longer possible. Aaron deserves to go out Regina George style truthfully. I don't think therapy can even help that boy. Nate Hawkins is ultimately perfect and has wasted his time with someone as annoying as Stassie.  Lo and Robbie are cute as the book could probably just be about them and I'd read it. I had hopes for this story and probably should have just never picked it up. If you are a teenager wanting to read this book please don't there are too many spicy scenes that you probably shouldn't be reading if you are under 17. Oh and the one thing about this whole story. Nate assuming there is cheating when nowhere in the previous chapter was there anything of the sorts?! they also are not dating! so why is there mentions of cheating. Hannah Grace takes way to long trying to explain something. she drags this book to be way longer than it needs to be and finally, she puts events out of order and then wont explain certain things.
How is this book popular? How are the ratings of this book so high? please save yourself and the time and do not pick up this book!
