Hmmm...Where to start?
Okay, Artemis Fowl, the 13-year-old, genius, mastermind is once again involved in illegal conquests. But at a cost! He already promised his revived father to change his way and become a normal teenage boy living with his normal, and law abiding family. Of course, Artemis is skeptical about the sudden change of moral of his father, he seems to be willing to give it a chance. Become a hero his father said. Maybe it's is a start of a new life, after just one more trade. Just one more trade to bring up the Fowl stock and retain their billionaire status in Europe. Artemis couldn't let this chance pass, not when he's planning to never again partake in illegal projects.
I've read this a week ago and finished it yesterday. I. COULD. NOT. PUT. THIS. BOOK. DOWN. But, well, I did because I had my exams that week. I just want to tear my hair out of its roots in that two days I'm not allowed to pick up that book! It is laced with suspense, action, twists and with a little humor thrown out here and there. It is really a great read. Holly and Artemis' relationship is turning into something quite pleasant, Juliet's character has nicely matured, Mulch, I actually see him in a new light now, and same with Butler. Butler, oh Butler! Why did that have to happen to you!? I was literally tearing up when Butler was shot by that one Arno Blunt. Oh, and that Jon Spiro got what's coming for him. All according to plan, said Artemis. And it's very emotional in the end though because of Artemis and crew were mind wiped just when Holly and Artemis was starting to become friends!
I'm going off tangent here, aren't I? Well, haha, all in all it's a great book, but I did spot a couple of grammar mistakes, I don't think that it really matters. So, five stars, because this page turner of a book deserves nothing less!

Honestly, this was my favorite Artemis Fowl book of the series so far! As much as I hated seeing Butler hurt and out of the action, I loved seeing Juliet’s POV and her interactions with the fairy people. I also loved the ending with Artemis implementing his signature “I will have a back-up plan for my back-up plan” 😂

Many very smart deductions were made in this book, but the entire thing could've been avoided if Artemis didn't let his guard down in the restaurant.
