The first half was a bit of a struggle to get through but I thoroughly enjoyed the second half. My biggest criticism would be that she often recounts information or includes personal tales that are tangential to the point that she's trying to make. I also fear that aspects of this book will lose their relevance the further away we get from the Trump Administrative

I found many of the essays insightful and interesting. The author challenged some of my approaches to feminist critique in a way that I found valuable.
There were some essays that I found weaker than the rest, but I guess that’s often just the nature of a collection.

Amazingly written, and I learned so much. This book gave me much to think about.

I had been meaning to read this for a while and was not disappointed. Each essay was unique and gave an interesting outlook on how as humans we are completely delusional to our own behaviour. For me my favourite essay was "Always be optimising" which dived into the issues of the sport community, specifically workout classes. The book also focused mainly on women's point of view, but there is no reason to say that men can not get just as much out of this book.
