I love Fatma Aydemir so much, and I really wanted to read this after reading her debut novel (Ellbogen) which was a five-star read for me. As a child of Turkish immigrants who live in Germany, I never felt more represented reading her books. Dschinns was also another amazing book. Fatma Aydemir writes character so well that as I was reading, I literally kept forgetting that these characters were not real people.
My favorite part of the book ⬇️
(you don't have to read the entire thing, but it's really worth it if you ask me 😮💨)
This following text is Sevdas speech to her mother. I think this was the best thing I've ever read in my entire life. I am literally at a loss for words. This ladies and gentlemen is exactly why Fatma Aydemir is my favorite author:
Nein,
UGHHH THE RAGE OMG 😍
EAT HER UP ⁉️
GAAAAGGGGGG NOW THIS IS FEMALE RAGE DONE RIGHT 🧎🏻♀️
