This whole book was a commentary on beauty and how it can be destructive, and how nothing really is as it seems to the naked eye. The characters, while not necessarily like able, were well written for their roles and some were even surprisingly better developed than I expected. Plot-wise, the story unfolds like no other; the plot in itself was very unique. And I absolutely loved Palanuik's rapid, sporadic writing style. Overall, This is a fast-paced, raw story that leaves everything the reader thinks they know skewed in the end. I really enjoyed the ride and hope to pick up another book by this author soon.

I'm having whiplash from this book.

Brilliant, vulgar, ridiculous, and shocking - everything I have come to expect from Chuck Palahniuk. Definitely not for everyone, but I loved it!

There are two phases of my life:
1) Before Invisible Monsters
2) After Invisible Monsters

This book is mind blowing (it is Chuck Palahniuk after all so it was expected). I absolutely love how it plays with your mind, teases you, picks you apart only to drop that big plot-twist of a bomb on your head at the end. This is a must read. I absolutely recommend it if you enjoy everything dark and twisted.

After reading Haunted by Palahniuk I honestly had almost zero hope for this book. But I am really glad that I gave this a chance anyway because I ended up loving it. There is a great lesson behind this book and it's really funny. It's also a super fast read if you are looking for something to enjoy and not take weeks to finish. Also, it's very unpredictable. When you think you have everything figured out, the plot does a 360 and surpises/shocks you. Which is nice because I find that alot of books are too predictable. So if you have read a Palahniuk book and didn't like it, I recommend this one alot if you want to give him alot shot. Or if you are interested in reading his work.

At first it seemed a bit messy and hard to follow, but in the end, it tied up together and okay, I couldn't guess like even one of the plot twists. But yeah, it was definitely worth reading, and now I can't understand why it waited half a year on my shelf before I started reading.

Weird. Hated it and liked it, mostly hated it. The main character was a horrible person and the ending just was weird for her. I don’t think it should’ve ended like that. LOTS of twists and turns though which kept me entertained

Absurdly visceral and incredible.

Like some sort of crazy fucked up rollercoaster. It's melodramatic, vapid, and 'edgy,' but it was also really fun to read.
