Holy crap, I was not expecting ANY of this book! Read the summary of the book, but then know this book is about family, specifically siblings, and also has a touch of mystery. It's a commentary on the effects of beauty, specifically the pressures of American beauty. Oh, and one could say it's also a thriller. And yet, these descriptions don't even fully begin to explain what this book is about.
I first heard about this book when I learned that the popular song "Time to Dance" by Panic! At the Disco was based off of this book. That's the beginning of my story with this book, and now I am just sitting here, having finished it, with my mouth hanging open. This was such an unexpected delight. I thought this book would be interesting, but it ended up being so unique and just took me by surprise!
