I totally get all the hype surrounding this series. It was such a fun read that held my attention the entire time. I already have book two lined up and ready to go and I can’t wait to see what other craziness Finlay gets up to.

I have so much fun reading this, literally hooked from page 1. This is a cozy mystery with a romance subplot. We follow Finlay, cozy mystery romance writer/divorced mom of 2. While discussing her book, someone over hears her conversation and decides to hire her to kill someone. There was a lot happening and even though the romance was minimal I eat that right up. I will be reading all of the books. This is a book Finlay Donovan would write lol.

This book is truly a masterpiece, weaving together elements of comedy, drama, mystery, and romance flawlessly. Finn and Vera make for an incredible duo, while the dynamic between Julian, the youthful lawyer, and Nick, the seasoned cop, adds an intriguing layer of complexity to Finn's love life. The revelation that Finlay hasn't actually committed murder but operates as a "murder for hire" is a uniquely intriguing twist. I'm eagerly anticipating delving further into this series.

This book just kept getting crazier! All of it toeing the line of believability and keeping me guessing at what could possibly happen next. The beginning was a bit chaotic but once the plot picked up, it didn’t stop.
