Speechless!

That ending! That is not what I was expecting to be the big deep dark secret! It was incredible. I loved this book. The banter, the smut, the alpha hole, ALL of it! If you like a darker college series like me then read this book!!!!

Scarlett left her hometown, Harlow’s Creek, to go to Columbia university but now she’s back to attend the local Madison Kings University. She thought this would be her new start until she runs into her past flame, Kane legend. The baggage between them is heavy. She wants to move on but he wants revenge, and neither one can stay away from the other.

Tracy Lorraine plugged in high octane darkness for maximum page-turning reading in her new series, Maddison Kings University.

Kane Legend is going to go down as the ultimate dark antihero, one readers find irresistible and the one that leaves mothers clutching their pearls.

The Revenge You Seek, is the first book in the Maddison Kings University series, but if you've read any of the Rosewood High series you might have run into Kane and Letty before as Kyle Legend is his little brother and Harley and Zayn Hunter are Letty's younger siblings.

This is a darker book with some pretty intense scenes between Kane and Letty. There is a lot of mystery wrapped around the hatred that just drips off of Kane and why he directs it specifically towards Letty. At the same time she allows it to happen, so even though there is mystery to it, there has to be a dark reason behind it, we just don't why these two are so toxic together, however it does make for excellent reading!!

Kane makes no excuses or apologies for who he is or what he does. He goes after what he wants and at this point in time, he wants revenge for everything she's done to him. He's had to put his life on hold numerous times, not that he's complaining, he did it for his brother, but now that Kyle is back on track Kane can refocus on his own.  Kane won't stop until she pays for everything she's done. He's relentless, the devil wrapped in a beautiful package.

Letty had no idea that Kane would ever have stepped foot on a college campus, much less one she was attending. When he appears at MKU for class, on the football field, basically everywhere she turns, her nerves are frayed. Thankfully she has a fortress of great friends supporting her, but even they can't protect her from the devil when he lurks in the shadows. She's not sure she will survive Kane Legend again, but then again it's hard to break something that's already broken.

These two have history together, as in they grew up together until the Hunter family moved away from Harrow Creek, but Kane and Letty specifically don't have a romantic relationship from their past (only one night which we learn about from The Mistakes You Make - I highly suggest reading this short prequel). Why is there so much animosity between them? I'm dying to know too!!! The mystery is what kept me turning pages, along with angsty torment...lord, Kane is dark and twisted.

This series is twisting up to be one of Lorraine's best, especially if you crave darkness in your reading. These books are meant to be read in order, so I highly recommend starting with the prequel and then reading the first book and so forth.

The Revenge You Seek takes you deeper into the Maddison Kings University world and I loved every single bit.

Letty is back in the town she thought she’d left in her rearview mirror, but she’s back and much to her horror the man that hates her is attending the same college. It’s clear that she has been through a lot in the span between the prequel and the beginning of this, and although you only learn of some of those things my heart ached for this once sassy girl.

Kane has a football scholarship, and has just started college, he expects to face the ire of his team members, but what he wasn’t expecting was the girl from his past that he’s determined to break to be walking in the hall of the very same college as him.

The chemistry between Kane and Letty is palpable, but the hate between them is too deep for them to let go of which makes for some insanely combustible steamy moments.

The storyline is completely consuming. There's a lot more to this than the fire between Letty and Kane, details from their past start to trickle on the pages keeping you captivated as it unfolds on the pages.

I’m looking forward to spending more time engrossed in this addicting world.
