While this book was cliche like others have said, I still really enjoyed it! I went from originally rating it 5 stars to 3 stars. However, after finishing the book I've decided on 4 stars. Hopefully the next book will be even better. I just hope it doesn't go downhill from here but I'm excited to see what happens next. I recommend this for fans of YA fantasy but be warned while it's enjoyable, it's not the most unique book out there.

The description said that this is a fusion of xmen and hunger games. And it is. May I add Thor though as well (Loki to be more precise). The beginning was a little boring, it actually made me feel like I was reading something that it wasn't edited yet. It didn't felt like reading a book, actually, if I can say that. But the second half of the book was better. I loved the ending, it was the best part of the whole story! And I liked stragely Mare, because she seemed real and not too arrogant about her powers and her position. I was a little skeptical about the love "triangle", but it was okay in the end, so it didn't actually distroyed the plot. So three stars out of five, hoping that the second one will be even better.

I really wanted to enjoy this book but unfortunately i did not. The idea was great but the execution felt short on the bland characters and flat plots twists.
