Broke my heart. One of my favourite books ever. I wept for chapters.

When I was a child I would often finish a book and then read it again immediately. I want to do this with this book over and over.

As some of the other reviews have said, this was such a powerful study of grief. The characters were so interesting and fleshed out, I could feel their pain and it was heartbreaking, argh, so good and sad

cried multiple times reading this book. o’farrell captures the numb feeling of grief so well and her and john’s love story was one of the most beautiful stories i’ve ever read. cannot WAIT to read hamnet after this!!!

My new favourite book of all time! Masterful storytelling from O’Farrell, a devastating yet moving read.
