Short and sweet. It doesn't overstay its welcome, it gives me all the love and romance that I need.
If you liked I Married a Lizardman, I can't see why you wouldn't enjoy this one as well.

I love me some marriage of convenience between two people who already feel attracted to each other. Their emotional conflict isn't really there for me,
(we already know she will stay with him, come on people!)
but the side plot with the hunting game, the political implications with economic impact is always fun to read in these books. It reads very idyllic to me; it's the closest thing I will get to a sci-fi utopia.

I would not recommend reading the whole Prime Mating Agency saga back-to-back, I think they are much too short and they can feel very repetitive. Still, it was a very enjoyable read. I can't wait to keep reading more. <s>I will go straight to the Minotaur book, though, because hot cover minotaur man.</s>

Oh my goodness! This book was so wonderful!! I absolutely adored Szaro and Serena. I loved how strong and sassy Serena was and Szaro was the perfect obsessed husband. The world building was also excellent, and I want to live on Trangor!!

I'm really pleasantly surprised by how adorable these books are, whilst focusing on domesticity and integrating into cultures very different to your own.

Regine Abel is brilliant and creating strong female characters, and Serena is no different. From an upper-class background, she's shied away from the life of a socialite to instead be a plantery hunter; a role designed to keep certain destructive species' population in-check. This brings her to the planet of Szaro, whose reclusive people have agreed to accept aid from off-planet hunters to reduce the population of a particularly destructive species. Whilst hunting, Serena notices a mother and child Ordosian about to be killed, and strays into an area that was prohibited to save them. As punishment, she is forced to marry Szaro, who is all-to-thrilled as he's certain she's perfect for him.

This was surprisingly sweet, and I love that there are no miscommunications in these plots; cocky Szaro is never afraid to say exactly what he's thinking, and Serena is blunt and straightforward when she wants to address issues. Like the first book, there are some hilarious interactions, and the characters are truly given depth in their dialogue with one another.

Keine Ahnung wie etwas so sweet sein kann. Eine wunderbare Geschichte. Zwar kurz aber richtig erfüllen. Ich denke, dass ich noch ein paar Teile lesen werde
