I’ve read several sci-fi authors that are new to me over the past few weeks and while I definitely want to read them again, for the most part I haven’t picked up one of their other books yet because I feel a restless energy and a finicky book mood just itching right under the surface to take me over and I guess I’m a little nervous that if try to continue on or binge a series that it will fully bring those on and I don’t need that energy right now. I know it’s silly, but it’s just the way I feel. So while I wanted to read the next Prime Mating Agency book after finishing I Married A Lizardman, I took caution and decided to look elsewhere. However, the book I chose to read afterwards… well, the hero did something I’m not the biggest fan of and I need some distance from it before I can think about picking it up again and I wanted a sweet, possessive, totally obsessed with his heroine male, so I went to Amazon and got I Married A Naga.
I’ll admit that while I wasn’t hesitant to read I Married A Naga, I was more squicked out than I usually am when it comes to reading alien/“monster” romances. I do have a mild fear of snakes ever since I almost stepped on rattlesnake when I was 14 and the nearest hospital was between 15-20 minutes away, maybe 10, depending on how fast you drove, so I haven’t picked up a naga romance yet even though I knew there were ones out there. I wanted some dedicated male though, so I thought it was time and while I definitely did love Szaro, I was still a little squirmy at times the whole way through.
So I didn’t love I Married A Naga as much as I loved I Married A Lizardman, but I did still love it. I loved that Serena was a hunter out of a desire to protect and also that that enabled her to work with Szaro. I adored that Szaro loved that she was a hunter and that he was so supportive of her. They were so cute, playful, and sweet; I loved their dynamic and relationship. I Married A Naga was a fun, interesting, and beautiful story I enjoyed reading and I’m looking forward to readingI Married A Birdman soon!

I loved this one! Give me an environmentally conscious love interest any day and I love the universe Abel is building.

again, a story that made me feel giddy all throughout. very cute, the characters are super likeable, and i enjoyed, once again, to read about a character exploring a new world and falling in love.

This is about Serena, she is part of an elite hunting party and breaks the rules to save some lives of the local aliens. For this she has to marry a local naga to the planet to avoid death. This is a fast read and I got it from KU.
Our alien hero is half man half snake oooo. Our human heroine is confident. This was a lovely romance. The storytelling was splendid.

So darn adorable!
Loved this alien romance between a kickb*** heroine and her sweet and sexy Naga mate. It was just adorable and the ending melted my heart.
