Regine Abel does a great job of quick and thorough world building. We jump to an enitrely new planet and couple for this book, and meet a human hunter, Serena, who's participating in a hunt near the sheltered and dangerous Ordosian people... who are like, giant snakes.
The action picks up almost immediately and I like that in each book from Regine the heroes are varying levels of "simp" for the heroine. Szaro, the hero of this book, was adorable but...
I just cannot get on board with a giant snake man.
I mean... his skin scrapes off! Like a snake! My phobias could never.

Szaro and Serena are fantastic together! She is a huntress coming to his planet to hunt down over populated predators for a game on specific hunting grounds. Then she saves a naga woman and her son, leaving the hunting grounds. Serena must marry one of the naga men or be executed for committing a crime.
Szaro is an outstanding male and was fascinated by Serena at first sight, and he has six months to prove to her that he is worth it.

3.5 stars rounded up while I took so long to read this, it was a good in between books where you didn't need to think so much. Also they were so cute. I love how all the problems are resolved smoothly and quickly so it's just a chill read all in all with steamy scenes
