There was something irresistible about an intimidating mountain of a male who turned into a teddy bear for his one and only.

Quick read about a hunter who marries from being killed after breaking the rules of a hunting competition and almost has a stroke thinking her new snake husband is going to take a dump in front of her. Would recommend.

Cuuuuuuuuuuuute! I loved this one! After being quite unimpressed with the Lizards, I was considering skipping this one - thinking the reptilian vibe of it all would be similar (which... let's talk about these mother-in-laws, shall we?) - but I'm really so glad I didn't skip it; I was more than pleasantly surprised. I really loved both the fmc & the mmc, I loved that the marriage came about in a different fashion, I loved their relationship, I loved their planet, & I loved the overarching storyline. Loved it all. Super cute & super funny.

overall decent, but not amazing

the plot existed and the way the author went about it was enjoyable

i did kinda hate how many blanket statements Serena made about human culture when trying to explain it to her husband - not all human cultures are western, simply. I wish there was some thought put into that or at least different wording to point to that.

there was also this weird pro-police/pro-authority message that was going on. As well as the weird (and common) idea that marriage = children lmao. {i could have done without either of these themes personally}

the world building was also good and I’d read a sequel if it existed, just to learn more about the planet and the animals they were hanging around.

the characters felt real too, which is not always the case obv and i commend the other for being able to do that.

worth reading if you’re looking for a quick and light romance (including aliens of course)
