A sweet human/alien marriage of convenience story. The characters spend a lot of the book talking through their cultural differences before following up on their insta-lust. Satisfyingly romantic entry in the monster/alien smut genre. Reminded me a lot of Strange Love by Ann Aguirre (highly recommend that one too!)

This one was a little weird even to me, especially at the end. But 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ll read the next one

I liked that this story had minimal conflict between the main characters. I felt it did gloss over her emotions when getting married to Szaro as she put in very little resistance when she already had a plan to leave after 6 months. Szaro on the other hand fell at first glance.
