I feel like this is promising an end to the exposition and finally some kind of development that sticks. Took long enough. The mafia cliches were killing me.

Well, DC YOU, I'll give you a shot. I read the first Catwoman when it came out, and I thought the story wasn't bad, but I was so annoyed with her Batman weakness that I dropped it. With this "new direction" I'm hoping we'll see Catwoman do something cool. (Maybe even feminist?) With that said, Issue #41 is lots of text, Batman's dead/missing and she's off to find him. I'm willing to follow through more after the gorgeous artwork (particularly a panel where Selina lets her guard down).
