this was a good, kind of trashy read (historical fiction) all about the Tudor court, specifically King Henry and Anne Boleyn and her sister. in the beginning, i literally couldn't put it down. it slowed slightly, but still, so so good.

DID NOT FINISH

Couldn't finish this book...very hard to read about pedophilia cloaked in Royal robes. I know it was common for 30 yr olds to marry 13/14 yr olds way back then...but icky to read about.

Don't take this book as a history lesson. As fiction, the book was great: gripping story, interesting characters, intrigues left and right.

God I love this story! It's like something that should be a story tale but isn't. History LOLs.

By the end all I could think was, "Just behead her already!" Plus, there's some "history" left to be desired in this historical fiction novel.

I think if I could give three and a half stars I would. It was a good book; the only thing that got a little wearing was catching on to the fact that two good things in a row wouldn't happen. It was good, bad, good, bad. But knowing the historical outcome didn't ruin any of the entertainment value of the story, so I was pretty pleased with the book as a whole.

I did vaguely know some of the history behind this book, in terms of Anne Boleyn, but I never knew she had a sister. I thought it was pretty interesting and I enjoyed reading it. I just saw the movie version however, and was rather disappointed with it. I realize that historical fiction does take some liberties with facts, but I felt that the movie didn't stay true to the book or truly represent its integrity.
