i adored the food descriptions, and I really appreciated Lorraine's path to confidence. I don't usually go for contemporaries with uber-wealthy protags, but I'm glad I picked this one up!

A cute sweet read. It will make you want cake. Or cupcakes. Or creme brulee. So fair warning.

The parents are beyond tedious to deal with and enraged me so much. I also wanted to know about the grandma and the family dynamics a bit more but that could get fleshed out in others in the series. And the plot twists are fairly easy to suss out. But it was still very enjoyable.

Largely internal contemporary involving two wealthy people, but it involves a bakery, so it's got that going for it. I'll definitely read more by the author, and I'll catch up on the rest of the series written by different authors.

Meh. I know it's generally an accepted part of the formula for there to be some conflict that comes between the lovers but I couldn't get behind this one at all. Plus the reconciliation went way too smoothly, considering.
