A look into the “Heartstopper” graphic novel series featuring character profiles, mini comics, insight into the author’s creative process and more. This is a great companion to the series that is well worth a read for fans.
Not really what I was expecting but still pretty cute.
Fun to get some history on the Heartstopper series and some insights into characters, setting, etc.
5 estrellas por que es Alice Oseman y leer esto te da una perspectiva muy bonita de la evolución de la historia, siento que no es un libro que pueda ser calificado, pero lo disfruté mucho y las ilustraciones a color son hermosas, las quiero enmarcar.
My Recommendation: This was a cute addition to the Hearstopper universe—however, it isn't a must read. There wasn't a whole lot to it, but I enjoyed getting to see some of the early drawings of the characters, found a couple of songs that I added to my general 2024 playlist, and did truly like some of the minisodes Oseman fit in. I wish it were paperback so it fit with the other volumes, but I kind of get why they went hardback only.
My Repsonse: I hadn't really planned on buying or reading this. It's one of those add on things, that you always wonder if it's a cash grab or a demand of the publisher (or production company by the time this was released), versus something the author truly wanted. That being said as we were packing up to move I found a $25+ credit for one of our local book stores and wanted to use it. I went looking for something else and they didn't have it, and it's not an area of the city we live near anymore so I knew I wouldn't be back so I grabbed this.
This is a relatively small book, coming in just around 150 pages. There are profiles of all the main characters including likes and dislikes, a song, some early drawings or facts about them, and connections to other characters. There are also little mini stories that either didn't make the cut or happen between the books. It's also a timeline of the Heartstopper series online and the books leading up to the Netflix series, so it does have quite a bit packed into it. That being said, I read it in maybe 45 minutes at most and that's spending quite a few minutes looking at the detailed illustrations of their rooms and houses.

I love all the artwork of Charlie and Nick napping together.
I asked Colin to guess how many Heartstopper books I'd read in one day and he guessed 4 and I had to break it to him that the answer was actually 6
