Adorable!! I loved the Moments mini comic in particular, and the AU drawings!! Loved getting insight into the process as well. The hardcover is such nice quality btw, the actual book itself! Worth owning if you are a Heartstopper fan <3

What a lovely book to end 2022 on! It’s no secret how much I love Heartstopper and this was the most perfect companion novella for the series. Heartstopper has been incredibly important to me as a queer person this year, and I know it’s been so important to do many other young queer people too this year, and it has changed so many lives, so it only felt right to end this year with this, which I think really captures the beauty of Heartstopper and the safe space Alice Oseman has created for the LGBTQ+ community. It’s a bit tricky to review this book because it wasn’t prose, but I highly recommend that all Heartstopper fans (whether you’ve come from the novels or the show) check this one out!
all the homophobes are leaving 1 star reviews on this and it isn’t even out yet, so here’s my big FIVE STARS because i love alice and i love these characters and the lgbtqia+ community does not deserve hate simply for existing.
edit: i have now read this book and it is in fact brilliant !!!
seeing alice’s art develop through the years was so cool and i found out from a quiz in this book that i’m more like charlie than nick so that’s also cool !
ALSO THE IDEA OF TARA AND DARCY DRESSING UP AS DRACULA AND A BRIDE IS SO COOL OF THEM AH (catch me and my girlfriend doing that next year HEHE)
ALSO ALSO THE REGENCY ERA AU AHHHHH I LOVE IT

So to continue on with apparently 'Alice Oseman month' because I have no desire to consume any media that isn't related to Heartstopper in some way, I have re-read the Heartstopper Yearbook. Since I read it for the first time before I had goodreads, thought I would write one the second time around.
I had much more of an appreciation this time around than when I first read it last year, though I imagine that will also be true for Radio Silence (which I plan on re-reading when the US hardcover releases later this year because although the UK paperbacks that I have look pretty I am terrified to crack the spine or damage them because they look way too pretty and are way harder to open to actually read) because I had a similar experience of appreciating Solitaire more when I re-read it this year, than for the first time last year.
I would probably not recommend this book unless you're like a die hard fan (like me) because you just aren't going to appreciate it. The entire point of this book is essentially Alice talking about the process of creating Heartstopper and going through the timeline since it's creation. I LOVED it though, and I loved reading about everything Alice talked about.
It's a very sweet and enjoyable book, and while I personally adored it, I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
