I am not sure how I feel about this book. I read it in one sitting, so I was engaged, but I am still processing what the hell went on in it.

I mostly just read this out if curiosity after the movie adaptation came out earlier this year. Not a genre i would usually reach for, but I didn’t hate it. Still trying to decide if I’ll finish the series or not

I'm a little conflicted with my rating of this book. Not my usual type of read, so I think that makes it really difficult to put a number for the reading experience. Would I read this book again? No, I wouldn't. But I think that I am going to watch the movie with the same title as this book.
It was a short read, so it was over quick and the time I got with the character wasn't a lot. Some of them were really forgettable, but I actually enjoyed the main character and the supports. I could see that with more depth and time to spend with them, I would still think that they are mostly enjoyable.
As for the plot, with my little experience with slasher movies, I think that it was too predictable and the pacing of the book felt off. It started normal but then all of the sudden escalated from zero to one hundred and the slowed at the ending. It didn't have enough suspense to keep me hooked on the plot/book but I still wanted to finish it (probably only because it fit really well into my reading challenge).
Also the whole reasoning behind the acts of violence felt so unrealistic and overdramatic that it was mostly just laughable. I get the whole generational gap and how technology and social media has changed our lives completely but it just felt so weird, that a group of adults would think that all of their town's teens should be eliminated to spare others from the corruption.

I loved this book. This is the kind of horror book that I need. Funny and fast and gory.
