It took me a bit to get used to the style of the narration but overall it was interesting, it felt both like a peek into teen mind and at the same time an adult's reflection upon what happened.

This is definitely my least favourite Annie Ernaux book. Whilst there are some glimpses of what I find so insightful in her other works it was less prevalent than in her other works.
