I loved this. I thought it was poignant and beautiful and funny and emotional and devastating.

For someone who has read probably like one or two thrillers in her life, I enjoyed this!

This is a thriller with teenagers that was well written, well paced and well constructed. I liked this straight forward writing. I liked the storytelling.
I didn't get that much attached to the characters except for Nora but I was surprised that it didn't bother me that much.
Nora's story (and her sister's) is tough. This book was darker than I thought it'd be, as it is the story of an abuse (of all kind) survivor who went through horrifying things.
Truthfully, I don't have much to say. I had a good time, I'm glad I had my bisexual and endometriosis representation, and I'm glad I tried the thriller genre.

The characters were extremely easy to understand especially with their backgrounds. The book was very fast paced, but not enough to confuse you. There was simply a lot going on in every page.
Nora was a perfect character in the sense that she’s a teen who acts like one. And all of her “past girls” make perfect sense. The way Nora acts makes sense. She does all these things because of everything that she’s gone through and I love that.
The relationships in here are beautifully written. Nora and lee are wonderful together. The perfect sibling bond, I love how she presents them together.  Nora and Wes are perfect. The love they have for each other is wonderful. It’s not romantic but as a reader you can tell how important they are for each other.
This book is a perfect light read for anyone looking for a quick, dark book. It’s simple but playful yet talks about some tough topics. I would gladly read this again. It’s such a page turner!! I could barely put it down.

Okay, I loved this book. It hooked me right from the start, I loved the characters and my heart hurt so much for all of them. I wasn’t sure what I was going to make of the book, but I really enjoyed it. And, ofc, we love some bi rep🫶

The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because despite some of the very challenging, emotional themes within this book, it still didn’t make me cry. Could be because I read most of it whilst on public transport, but I’ve cried too many times on trains to really care about that. So I feel that maybe some of it could have been written a bit better maybe? Or maybe I’m more cold hearted than I used to be🤷‍♀️

ONE THING
I’m not sure if it’s just me, but it would have been great if we’d never learned her original name?? But maybe that would have driven me crazy!?

Wow! Loved this book. A few loose ends left me wondering why they were introduced in the first place like
Olive being their safe phrase—was it Lee’s first “girl” name? Grey cap being an ex-fed or some other info Lee said making him rage—why did we not get the robbers’ stories? The man who was shot—did he die?
