I really enjoyed the whole arc of these short stories and the premise? Our advancement in tech and infiltrating memory to control global population? Genius. It was a little hard to get into at the start, the first story was the most challenging to read, since we were being introduced to all the technical terms and the rules of the world so quickly, but you figure it out after 25ish pages. I liked that there was some connection between some of the stories but I wish there were more. Story 2 (the hotel) was my favourite and the story with the new apartment and time was the most confusing for me. I liked the last story and how hopeful it was.
Moderate: Deportation, Gun violence, Misogyny, Death, Hate crime, Violence, Homophobia, Murder, Police brutality, and Suicide

Honestly this is thee best book I've read this year so far! I didn't know it was coming out until I saw it randomly on the internet and had to go out and get it and I do not regret the cost at all
I'm also surprised (in a good way) in the little ways some of the stories were connected
Honestly the book is also inspiring for me to complete my own writing so thanks for that

I really loved this collection. It's too complicated to get into the message along with the beauty of each story but you can tell each was made with a lot of love a purpose. The first two stories, "The Memory Librarian" and "Nevermind" did feel a little bit more difficult to get into, but that may just be because they had the most work of introducing you to New Dawn. Either because of this or not, the last three stories are my favorite, my #1 fav being "Save Changes".
Moderate: Drug use, Forced institutionalization, Kidnapping, Transphobia, and Police brutality
Minor: Homophobia and Violence
