Fire Punch is like nothing else. It's sad and depressing and violent and dark but also deeply experimental and thoughtful and ends almost beautifully. There's plenty of stuff I've read or watched that felt like the creator splashing what they were thinking on the page/screen as it goes but nothing so cohesive as this. It's imperfect but it feels like it's entirely intentional and all coming from one kind of twisted but very singular mind.
The ending isn't what I expected at all, but still feels like it's what it was always heading towards somehow. I'll be thinking about it for a long while.

This series is so weird and thought provoking, but I really could have done without the incest. The ending was beautiful though.
This series is weird, interesting, thought provoking, gross, but above all it was weird.
The rating in my head kept fluctuating, the beginning was completely amazing, but it kept on becoming weirder. Some of the art was great but some panels I had absolutely no idea what was going on. The premise seemed amazing but some of the plot choices came out of nowhere. I can see this series growing on me over the following weeks but for now it gets a 3 star rating.

Wszystko, łącznie z jakością rysunków, poleciało na łeb na szyję po tomie piątym. Do tamtego momentu bawiłam się świetnie.
