I honestly was a bit nervous about reading this book, as I've never read sci-fi before. But oh my days this book was AMAZING. I absolutely love Orson Scott Card's prose. The edition that I have has an introduction wherein Card explains the controversial aspects of the book that many people rage over. This is why I didn't have a problem with the fact that in the book they were training literal 6 year olds. In my opinion, people should read that intro so that they understand why Card wrote what he wrote. But overall, I would definitely recommend this to people who are looking to get into sci-fi.

i can see why this book is so popular. was not expecting the ending at all. poor ender he really never got to catch a break (edit: only after finishing this book did i learn how terrible of a person the author is, how did he write such a queer coded book while being so homophobic (among other things))
