Add it to the list of great books by awful authors.

It’s a brilliant text. No one can deny Orson Scott Card’s mastery of storytelling. It’s a bit too dark for my personal tastes to end up as a 5 star. But I was surprised at how often I ended up laughing out loud and smiling along with the book. Would recommend

Shoutout Bean. Ender’s Game is a fantastic read showing the struggles Ender faces with family, constant threat of wanting friends and officers pushing his limits. There are moments that felt like a slump (due to not understanding what was happening at times), but calls for such an enthralling story of a kid just wanting to be home. Each character serves a purpose and has an attachment to them that adds to the story rather than holding it back. A lot to unpack in this book and twists that I certainly didn't expect.
