I actually really enjoyed reading it but it got SO silly as it went on. The profiling! The genius serial killer! The villain monologue! Some truly baffling decisions by the main characters! The first bad sign was probably the "dark secret" mentioned in the blurb being explained in full in the first chapter and being a situation where any risk of moral complexity was avoided.
