"Challenging the colonial world is not a rational confrontation of viewpoints. It is not a discourse on the universal, but the impassioned claim by the colonized that their world is fundamentally different."

Controversial book that advocates for resistance! preface by Sartre.

I need something that doesn’t feel like a chore to read and makes me feel positive and hopeful inside- no comment on the book just not what I need right now. Different perspective on violence in movements for sure but bit generalised maybe outdated and too Marxian in its description for me

I really wanted to read this book, because I've heard great things about Fanon's ideas. But I just can't get through the dense prose to actually find and understand those ideas. He's writing about such important topics, but somehow in the most boring way imaginable.
