This was fun and fast but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I was going to. I didn’t connect to the characters and the couple as much as painted scars so I never really got into the story. It was more mafia heavy which I did enjoy since the cast of characters grew and the found family started to develop. I also loved Lena and enjoyed what she added to the story. This one had way more spice than the first one which I didn’t particularly love since it made the relationship feel way too physical. So overall didn’t love it but it was fast and easy and bingeable which was really all I was looking for.

-read this book in one day, it was THAT good

This book was good and very easy to read. I found the characters flaws and past very emotional, and I liked how they dealt with that trauma together and weren’t closed off with one another. I wasn’t overly attached to the characters, but they were lovable, and I really liked Lena and the lightness that a child like her brought to the plot line. Overall, this book was a very easy read, but I don’t think I would read it again.

I liked this one so much more than the first book. It had characters with some personality so you were invested in what happens to them. I enjoyed this story and the impact of the MMC's physical scars it played a much bigger part in the story than it did in the first book. I enjoyed that part a lot because you could watch along as both people came to terms with each other
