This is one of those books that I had to get back to as soon as possible. I would put it down to do things around the house but any time I had a few minutes I was on my butt devouring Ben and Karma's story.

It has been three years since Ben first came across Karma. He has been searching ever since. He has done some really whacked things to try and find her.

He hasn't given up. But when he finds her does he really have her. She has secrets. She has been put in a horrible place. It is a shame she didn't share with Ben. But then again it would have made for a so-so story.

Instead the reader gets edge of the seat drama. The attacks are dangerous and graphic. The reader will be blown away with all the explosives. I don't know why they try and plan anything. It never goes the way they think it will. Great for the reader that likes to snicker, not so great for the character.

I loved Ben's determination to keep his space from Karma. Shouldn't her name have given him a hint? What was he thinking? I had to question his plans on more than one occasion.

The Dark Protectors never disappoint. I love watching the tough guy crumble. Ben falling for two adorable little girls was the best. Total Kodak moment.

I enjoyed this installment of the Dark Protectors series. The main character, karma, had a nice character arc as a women, but still stuck to her beliefs and her goals. Benjamin added some lighthearted comedy while coming to realize he could love. I also enjoyed hearing about the other familiar characters and the foreshadowing of future characters finding their mates.

This is my first Dark Protector's book and I loved it. Such a fun world that she has created. I very much enjoyed getting to know the world in which they live and the love story between Benny and Karma. Despite not having read one of these before, and it's the thirteenth in the series, I had no problem following along and definitely plan to dive into the series from the beginning!

The book starts off dropping you right into the action - Benny has been captured by his enemies in order to rescue Karma, whom he recognized as his mate when he met her several years before. I think part of what helped me follow along in this new world, was that Benny's world was also somewhat new to Karma as well, so I was able to learn some of the backstory as she learns it. Both Benny and Karma had a lot of interesting layers to them. Benny seems to be very lighthearted and funny, but incredibly serious when it comes to anything to do with Karma. Karma has a lot of layers to her, she is holding secrets and finding her way in the world and with Benny. I loved seeing how both of them grew as their relationship moved forward. I'm definitely planning to start the series from the beginning!

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the Advanced Reader Copy. I have voluntarily left an honest review.

If there was a demon-vampire hybrid that would be the life of the party, it would be Benny. As serious as his life is, this alpha protector knows you have to live. Benny has so much to him. A fun and a bit crazy side yet is so sweet at times he will make your heart go pitter patter.

Karma is so brave and an incredibly strong Woman. She’s endured so much but yet she keeps fighting. Losing her mate just as they were beginning their time together, to never be able to meet again, to being put into a situation beyond her control. Her femininity it’s a beautiful touch to her personality. It’s who she is and she lets that part of her self shine. For someone who does their best to blend in she definitely stands out.

Rebecca Zanetti is definitely turning it up in Rebels Karma. There are some many levels of intensity to the story and it just gets better along the way. Benny and Karma are beautiful together. Benny’s caring nature helps Karma on the path of finding her true self. They complement each other beautifully and their passion is so deep. The situation is getting heated and everyone is willing to do what it takes to keep everyone safe or to get to their ultimate goal. Rebecca Zanetti is definitely keeping us on our toes.

PS : to the publisher and Netgalley, thank you so much for the ARC =D

An excellent book that I was looking forward to (Benny has always been a favorite of mine =D) and which fulfilled all my expectations =D

For me, Rebecca Zanetti quickly became a "buy immediately no questions asked" author and I always look forward to each new release =D

What I particularly liked :
- the universe with the different races, their mythologies (I can't wait to know what it really is this story with the Seven since we have ten million versions !!) but also all the technological advances that fit perfectly with fantasy! I particularly enjoyed in this book having a glimpse of the Kurjans from within !
- the different plots that I loved !! The one around Karma of course but also all the innuendo with the very tense situation within the kingdom, the shenanigans of the Kurjans and of course all the intrigue around the famous ritual of the Seven =)
- characters !! Benny that we had already seen several times in the different books of the Seven but also with the Reese brothers and that I adored !! A little crazy but terribly endearing >< And of course Karma who was so courageous despite the trials, who made me laugh a lot with the discrepancy and the misunderstandings linked to her life among the Kurjans (the scene of the meeting with the queen was awesome !) and with its power that fascinated me !
- This end too cute <3

The questions / expectations I have now :
- I must admit that for the first time, I wanted a Kurjan to have his HEA (Vero !!) so I hope we will have one !!
- I didn't think I would ship them but I SO ship Paxton and Hope =D
- and I really want to have a book with Garett now >< I am very intrigued by his dreams !! And of course Sam =D

In short, for fans of urban fantasy who want well-constructed universes and endearing characters, I recommend the entire series =D

PS: to the publisher and Netgalley, thank you so much for the ARC = D

Was I hooked by that book? Yes. The plot thickens. Great writing, fast action, and many new plot lines to be explored. I can't wait.

The Dark Protectors continue with book 13. Don't you just love long series?

I really liked Benny. He is fun and has a great sense of humour. He is loyal and fairly laid-back. Well, if you compare him to his friends and fellow members of the Seven. Karma is sweet and a little bit naïve. But she has this steely determination that drives her to protect those she loves and to get what she wants. Karma is also interesting as she isn't a modern woman thrown into this world all of sudden. She has been with the Kurjans for a very long time and she has seen and experienced so much.

The action and intrigue is delivered with the same excellent writing that you can always expect from Rebecca Zanetti. Apart from Benny and Karma's story, there are so many other plotlines going. And I can't wait to follow them to the end.

Out of all these characters, Emma and Dage are still my favourites. And Logan and Mercy are not too far behind.

This entire series is highly recommended if you are interested in the world of the paranormal, lots of steamy romance, hunky, possessive, stubborn men, and equally stubborn, strong women.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Rebel's Karma is the latest release in the wonderful Dark Protectors series. If you enjoy paranormal romance, intricate (but easy to follow) plots and well-developed characters, this is the series for you!

Rebecca Zanetti is a fantastic writer and has created yet another great book in the Dark Protectors series. If you haven't read any of the previous books, don't stress. While it's a fantastic series to start from the beginning (and you'll definitely want to go back and read the previous books), Rebel's Karma can be read as a standalone with minor confusion surrounding the different species (especially the Kurjans). Zanetti has created a story that immediately hooked me in and left me wanting more. The characters, at once, felt familiar in their personalities and actions - like a long-lost friend, and just like a friend, I couldn't help cheering them on with every victory and achievement.

One of the other great things with this series is Zanetti perfectly balances the central storyline between the MCs with important glimpses into the lives of secondary characters. I say 'important' because they're all part of a bigger overall story arc and with the reveal of each puzzle piece, I just know this series is going to get better and better.

Overall, I love this series and its author. Rebecca Zanetti is one of my favourite authors and proves herself a fantastic author with each new release. I've read multiple books in this series so far (and plan to read the rest) and I've loved each and every one. Dark Protectors is definitely one of my go-to series when I'm in the mood for a good paranormal romance and I'd recommend it to everyone.
