Such a good book told from Adam's view. Really enjoyed this one.
Where She Went was just the book I needed to get out of my reading stump. Just like its predecessor, I devoured it once I got started.
This book is told in the POV of Adam, and what happened after Mia woke up and left for Julliard.
If I could describe this book in one word, it would be: HEARTBREAKING .
This book was heartbreakingly beautiful. While the first book was about death, this book was about picking up the pieces after death and what happens when you start to grieve .
Gayle Forman created an amazing voice with Adam, one that I really didn't expect him to have. I love that we got to see Adam's opinions in this book, because he was always so original.
I found myself wasting hours on the internet trying to search for the songs from Adam's band, Shooting Star , until I tearfully realized that, sadly, they aren't real.
The author could express TONS of emotions just with a piece from a song, which is really something really difficult to accomplish.
I was preparing myself for it to end on a... sour note, but surprisingly it ended pretty good. I find it funny that I could have lived with either ending, because I realized that the "right" choice wasn't necessarily the one that should have been taken.
I love this book to bits, and if you haven't read a book from Gayle Forman, you should really start by picking up If I Stay .
5 stars.

It has been a couple years since I read If I Stay and maybe that is why I didn't enjoy this book as much as I wanted. I remembered the basic plotline, but I didn't remember many of the details, especially about Adam's character. Consequently, I just didn't care about him as much as I probably should have. I also felt that even though it was a short read, the self-pity went on for too long. The ending was the saving grace of this book and by the time it was wrapping up, I was really enjoying it. I think I'd be more interested in reading about what happens next than all the things (or lack thereof) that this book chronicled.
This book was kind of what I expected. You know, some sappy reunion type book. I wasn't really all that impressed. Basically, after three years, Mia and Adam reunite(miraculously). Three years ago, Mia's family all died in a car accident that she was involved in, but somehow she survived. After she wakes up from her coma, she eventually, goes to Julliard(for the cello), away from Adam in Oregon. And then somehow, Adam and his rock band get really famous over the album Adam practically writes over he and Mia's "Breakup". Right. And so, now, Adam is in New York and so is Mia, three years later, and he goes to one of her concerts. And then they bond and blah blah blah.
I don't know, I was at least hoping for some big romantic scene. But all I really got was these little dry ones that I guess was suppose to make up for one. Which was disappointing. And although it was at least in first person, I didn't like that it was from Adam's point of view. I mean, both the books, If I Stay, and this one, are about MIA. Not Adam, really. I could care less about Adam. Adam's whole story seemed kinda unrealistic, anyway. I mean, I liked it but it still seemed kinda "not-gonna-happen". The writing was nice but I felt at times that the similes and metaphors were too much. Like every other sentence. I think I liked the flashbacks the most(which were every other chapter), because their present was bland and lacking a good plot. Good book, but like I told my friend, you should really just read, If I Stay.

This is so much better than the first book. I can't believe Adam's story hits harder than Mia's.
This book was GRAT. Found it A LOT better than the first one :)
not as good as if I stay. kind of confusing and slow at first but got better at the end.
