Oh.My.God! I honestly thought that the first book in this series was fantastic and there was no way the second could ever live up to my standards. WELL it took those standards and blew them out of the water!!!
This book is from Adam's POV and it's set 3 years after Mia had her accident. They drifted apart and now Adam is a big Rock Star and Mia is a very successful Cello player. Adam may be famous and rich but he is miserable every mintue of every day. We really get to see how much their breakup has completely destroyed Adam and how alone he truly feels. Adam is walking along the street and notices a poster with Mia on it advertising one of her shows, so he decides to go see it which brings up emotions he has buried deep for 3 years.
This has got to be one of the most emotionally taxing series I've ever read. I loved every page of this book. The end was absolutely 'PERFECT!' I am so happy I read these books and plan to recommend them to all my friends.

"Where She Went" is a young adult novel by Gayle Forman, and is the sequel to her earlier work, "If I Stay". The book follows the story of Adam Wilde, a former high school rocker and the boyfriend of Mia Hall, the protagonist of the first book.
The story is set three years after the tragic car accident that left Mia in a coma and killed her family. Adam, now a successful musician, is struggling with fame and the aftermath of the accident. While on a break from his tour, he returns to New York City, where he runs into Mia, who is now a rising star in the classical music world.
The novel explores Adam and Mia's complicated relationship as they reconnect and try to make sense of their past and present. The story is emotional and heartfelt, with themes of love, loss, and redemption woven throughout. Forman's writing style is lyrical and powerful, drawing the reader in and making them feel deeply connected to the characters.
Overall, "Where She Went" is a beautifully written and emotionally resonant novel that will leave a lasting impression on readers. It is a worthy sequel to "If I Stay", and stands on its own as a powerful exploration of love and loss.

The main character is so believable and his story is SO interesting. I'm glad to say that the love story part of it is not thrust into your face, which was really refreshing. I especially loved the song lyrics at the beginning of every chapter. Overall, Gayle Forman has really surprised me with how well she writes. Also, I'd say this was a better book than If I Stay. It could even be read as a stand alone book.

4.5 stars, much better than If I Stay, which I read three years ago. After reading Just One Day I decided I would go back and read Where She Went because I love Gayle Forman's writing style and can appreciate it now.
LOVE IT,AGAIN.
I guess im just in love with If I Stay books. They give such strong messages to the readers, and this one wasn't only about love, was about letting go and moving on.

I cried, I laughed, I cheered, I couldn't get enough of this book, I loved it, so much. I really did. This book was awesome!
★★★★★ // that mix of anger and love pulsating through every page of this book. the fact that all of these happened in one night, and every second of it you just know that they still love each other so intensely just as much as they did back in high school. god, this book, what an experience.
Loved the book it was beautifully written I just finished it today
Nostalgia ❤️ Great catching up with these two. It's so 2014!
